Founder and Director of Sense of Self, Kate is dedicated to accessing the innate wisdom of the body through touch. She works with the young and old in a variety of individual and group settings to uplift the individual psyche while promoting peace and well being for all of humanity from the inside out. Kate combines eight years of extensive training and experience in yoga and the healing arts with her education and expertise in herbal medicine, indigenous philosophy, and nature awareness to offer her students and clients a dynamic approach to expanded body/mind awareness, personal growth, vision, and healing.
Kate is nationally certified in therapeutic massage & bodywork and is an internationally certified educator of infant massage through Infant Massage USA, the official US Affiliate of the International Association of Infant Massage. She is an internationally certified kundalini yoga teacher through the Kundalini Research Institute with specialized training to teach kundalini yoga during pregnancy and practice pre and perinatal massage. She holds a bachelor's degree in Human Health and Development from Prescott College in Northern Arizona and has worked in conjunction with families, counselors, chiropractors, pain management doctors, and a special needs facility for adults. Currently, Kate has a private energy healing and therapeutic massage practice in the Los Angeles area and teaches infant massage to parents in various locations throughout Santa Monica and LA.
Kate embraces the ancient healing art of massage and the teachings of kundalini yoga as sources of inspiration and elevation for all people regardless of age, class, gender, religious affiliation, or sexual orientation. Kate's passion for teaching and practicing bodywork comes from her desire to encourage people to awaken to the infinite potential they possess as human beings.
